You are buying two meters at once

Koji explains that a UserTesting contract has two parts: seats and panel credits. Seats set the floor. Credits decide whether you can keep testing all year, because they pay for the people who take your tests. If they run out in the third quarter, testing stops.

Ask what happens to unused credits at renewal. Vendr suggests getting rollover terms and renewal caps into the first contract, and says deals near UserTesting's year end can bring better terms. UserTesting merged with UserZoom in 2023 and bought User Interviews in January 2026. See our Qualtrics page for survey research.

No price on the site, on purpose

UserTesting leaves pricing to its reps. That lets them discount hard for a deal they want and hold firm on one they do not. It also means the only honest numbers are the ones buyers report after signing. Those reports, cross checked with analyst data, are what this page uses.

Pricing is per year, whole contract, so the main levers in the quote are the tier you pick and the setup fee, not the headcount.

How to judge the quote in your hand

    Ways to pay less

    Before you decide

UserTesting suits product and design teams at bigger companies that run many studies each quarter and need a ready pool of test participants.

Teams that test now and then may find a yearly contract hard to justify. Pay per test tools can cost less for light use.

A last tip: track how many studies you run, so you can prove the value at renewal.
