How we calculate this
Prices are for the United States in 2026 from published cost guides, checked September 2026. This is an estimate, not a quote.
How a NetSuite quote is built
| Per user | $99 to $150 a month, plus a platform fee. |
|---|---|
| Mid market subscription | $65,000 to $125,000 a year. |
| Implementation | $100,000 to $250,000 on mid market projects. |
| Modules | Advanced financials, inventory and ecommerce are separate. |
| Term | Annual, with renewal uplifts common. |
What pushes a quote up
| User count | Named user licences, so every login counts. |
|---|---|
| Modules | Each module adds to the platform fee. |
| Subsidiaries | Multi entity and multi currency cost more. |
| Implementation partner | Rates and scope vary a lot. |
| Renewal | Ask for a cap before signing. |
Five year cost is the number that matters
On a five year view the gap between NetSuite and Sage Intacct is often $200,000 to $500,000 for a similar mid market company, in Intacct's favour, because NetSuite prices per user and carries a higher implementation.
NetSuite earns that premium when you need financials, inventory, ecommerce and CRM in one system. If you only need financials, the cheaper option usually wins.
How the quote gets made
NetSuite does not publish prices. A rep works out your size, what you need and how soon, then prices the deal to match. Discounts depend on timing and on whether you are talking to a rival. The numbers on this page are what buyers and analysts report paying, not a list price.
Pricing is per year, subscription, so the main levers in the quote are the tier you pick and the setup fee, not the headcount.
How to judge the quote in your hand
- Model five years, not one, including renewal rises.
- Ask for the all in number: licence, setup, training and support for year one.
- Ask what renewal looks like in year two and three, in writing.
- Get a second quote from a rival and say so on the call.
- Buy at quarter end, when reps chase targets.
- Cut seats and modules you will not use in the first 90 days.
Ways to pay less
- Trim named users and use light roles where you can.
- Pay yearly if the discount is real, not just a rounding of the monthly price.
- Start on the lowest tier and upgrade when you hit a wall.
- Ask for the setup fee to be waived or split over the year.
- Check the free trial or demo before you sign anything.
Before you decide
NetSuite is worth its premium when one system has to run financials, inventory, ecommerce and CRM together. Companies that only need financials usually pay less elsewhere for the same result.
On the commercial side, two clauses decide the real cost: the renewal uplift and what happens if your user count drops. Ask for a cap on the first and flexibility on the second before you sign a multi year term.
One last budget line: training. Finance teams need real time in the system before month end, and partners usually bill for it by the hour. Ask how many hours are included, what a refresher costs later, and whether recorded sessions come with the project.
Ask about sandbox and support tiers too. A test environment is a separate line item, and premium support often is as well. Both are easy to overlook in the first quote and hard to add cheaply later, so price them before you sign rather than at renewal.
