Informatica costs about $50,000 to $200,000 a year

Informatica moves, cleans and governs company data. Its cloud platform, IDMC, is sold in prepaid Informatica Processing Units, or IPUs, and Salesforce now owns the company. There is no public price list. Third party guides put small setups at about $50,000 a year and typical enterprise software at about $80,000 to $150,000. The full suite, with data quality, governance and master data, runs about $200,000 to $500,000 or more a year.

    What pushes a quote up

IPUsEach service burns units at its own rate. More data means more units.
ModulesData quality, governance and master data add a lot.
ConnectorsLinks to big systems like SAP raise the price.
TermMulti year deals are reported at 10 to 20 percent off.

    How the units work

You buy a yearly pool of IPUs and each service draws from it. Under the standard plan, units you do not use in a month expire at the end of that month. Informatica also sells a Flex plan, where the pool lasts the full contract year.

If your data work is uneven, with busy and quiet months, ask for Flex. It is a contract choice, and it can stop you paying for units that expire unused.

No price on the site, on purpose

Informatica leaves pricing to its reps. That lets them discount hard for a deal they want and hold firm on one they do not. It also means the only honest numbers are the ones buyers report after signing. Those reports, cross checked with analyst data, are what this page uses.

Pricing is per year, whole contract, so the main levers in the quote are the tier you pick and the setup fee, not the headcount.

How to judge the quote in your hand

    Ways to pay less

    Before you decide

Informatica suits large companies that need data integration, data quality, governance and master data from one vendor. Teams that only need to move data between systems often find it costs more than simpler tools that do only that.

If you still run PowerCenter, the older on premise product, standard support ended on March 31, 2026. Ask Informatica what moving to the cloud platform will cost, and compare it with a rival quote before you commit.

A last tip: start small. Informatica now offers a free entry level cloud data integration service, which can show how many units your real jobs burn before you buy a big pool.
