How Much Does FieldEdge Cost in 2026? $100 to $125
FieldEdge costs about $125 per month for each field technician and $100 per month for each office user in 2026, based on what buyers report.
What moves the price
- Office seats versus technician seats. Buyers report two rates. Office users such as dispatchers and managers cost about $100 per month each. Field technicians cost about $125 per month each. A shop with many techs and few office staff pays more per month than a shop with the reverse.
- Your plan level. FieldEdge sells three tiers called Select, Premier and Elite. Select is the entry plan. It reportedly allows only two mobile app licenses. Premier and Elite add more tools, and ServiceMag says the cost goes up a lot as you add techs and extras.
- Add-ons. A price book is an extra charge, and The Ascent did not get a number for it. Other add-ons named by reviewers include Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge and a customer portal. Each one can add to the monthly bill, so ask for every line item in writing.
- Setup and training. Two sources say setup runs $500 to $2,000. The Ascent was quoted $4,000 for remote training and data move. The more help you want moving your old data, the closer you get to the top of that range or past it.
- The office user cap. The sales rep in The Ascent story offered to cap office users at $300 per month with no limit on seats. That deal is worth most to shops with four or more office users. Ask if the cap is offered to you.
- Contract length. Some sites say FieldEdge bills month to month with no long contract. Another says annual contracts are standard. These do not agree, so ask your rep which one applies to you and get it written into your order form.
- Payment processing. Connecteam says the FieldEdge payment partner, Clearent, has high fees and often asks for a three year contract. Card fees are a cost that sits outside your software bill, so add them to your math.
- Team size and timing. One review site says FieldEdge works out best for teams of five or more technicians. Reps also tend to be more flexible near the end of a month or quarter when they want to close deals.
What is included
A note on where these numbers come from. These are third party estimates and buyer reports, not prices published by FieldEdge. FieldEdge does not list prices on its site. A real quote can come back higher or lower than what you see here.
What the money buys. FieldEdge is software for heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical shops. It helps you book jobs, send techs, and send invoices. Office users get the desktop tools for dispatch and billing. Technicians get a mobile app for their jobs in the field. The monthly seat fee covers the software for those users. Housecall Pro says the monthly fee only starts after a setup period of about five weeks. That setup, which it calls the implementation plan, covers moving your data, training your staff, and answering first questions.
The three plans. ServiceMag lists Select, Premier and Elite. Select is the entry plan and it reportedly allows two mobile app licenses and one option on each quote. Elite is said to include MarketingEdge, Proposal Pro, outbound call recording and warehouse inventory. ServiceMag also notes that the inventory tool needs QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Advanced Inventory. That is a separate product you would pay for.
What the seat fee does not cover. The setup fee is not part of the monthly price. A price book is an extra charge with no public amount. Card processing fees are separate. Connecteam says the FieldEdge payment partner often asks for a three year contract. Marketing tools, proposal tools and other add-ons may also cost extra depending on your plan.
What you do not get. There is no free trial. You can get a demo from a sales rep, and Connecteam says it is a free 15 minute call. There is also no public price list, so you cannot compare plans on your own without talking to sales.
A word on the sources. Housecall Pro and Connecteam both sell software that competes with FieldEdge. We used them to confirm numbers, not as our main proof. The Ascent and Workyard gave the same $100 and $125 rates, and ServiceMag and Field Service Software IO confirmed that FieldEdge does not publish prices. Last, one source says billing is month to month and another says annual contracts are standard. We could not settle that from public sources, so ask FieldEdge directly.
Ways to pay less
- Ask for the office user cap. The Ascent writer was offered a $300 per month cap on office users with unlimited seats. If you have four or more office staff, this can save real money. Ask for it before you sign.
- Get a written quote with every line item. Ask for seat rates, setup, training, price book, and each add-on. Reviewers say the base number is rarely the full bill, so the written list is your best protection.
- Negotiate the setup fee. Sources range from $500 to $4,000. Setup is often the easiest part for a rep to cut or waive. Ask what is included and whether they can lower it if you sign this month.
- Start on the Select plan only if it fits. Select reportedly has only two mobile licenses. If you have more techs, check the real cost of moving up before you pick the cheap plan and get surprised later.
- Only buy add-ons you will use in the first six months. Proposal tools, marketing tools and call recording can wait. Ask if you can add them later at the same rate you are quoted today.
- Get at least two other quotes. Ask Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan or others for prices too. A rep who knows you are comparing is more likely to move on price. Do not share the other quote, just say you have one.
- Ask about contract length and renewal. If you can stay month to month, you can leave if the price goes up. If you must sign for a year or more, ask for a cap on yearly price increases in writing.
- Ask about card processing before you agree. If you must use the FieldEdge payment partner, ask for the fee list and contract length. Compare it with what you pay now. A cheap software price can be wiped out by high card fees.
